Beautiful Botanical’s Release!

Hello, friends! Today Skipping Stones Design is excited to be releasing another beautiful stamp set! It is called Beautiful Botanicals and it is a must have! Here’s the sketch Angi has provided us for this week!

I have to say I love my original Scor-Pal, but I am loving my Scor-Buddy! It saves so much room on my desk and is perfect for cards! I used my Scor-Buddy to make this Gatefold card. The Scor-Buddy has two dots at 2 3/8 and 6 1/8 so if you’re using cardstock which is  8 1/2 long you simply score on those two dots and you have the perfect Gatefold card!

I decided with the sketch to focus on the largest sentiment in this set, the Happy Mother’s Day. I stamped it repeatedly on a piece of pink cardstock and then separated them into strips for the card front. The trick with a Gatefold card is to have some type of closure. In this case I used ribbon and when it’s slipped off the inside is revealed.

Here’s a peek at the inside! A simple little flower on the inside, perfect for you to add your own heartfelt sentiments!

Welcome back to another sketch with SSD, but an all new month with new guests and a brand new stamp release! This month we have Angi Barrs as our sketch artist and this week we have such a fun sketch to work with!

You’re getting a sneak peek at the new set being released this month, Beautiful Botanicals. If you are a fan of Dandelion Dreams then you will absolutely LOVE this new set!

Another fun thing happening this month is the team is being sponsored by Scor-Pal and each member of the DT received a Scor-Buddy! I have the original larger sized Scor-Pal and while I love it, I am definitely enjoying a little bit of extra desk space when working with the Scor-Buddy! It’s the perfect size for cards and in this case helped to add a little dimension.

I scored at half an inch across the card back five times so that when flipped over the impression lines would show through to the front in place of a block like in the sketch. I love being able to add some visual interest and texture to my cards with such little effort!
