Just a Note

Welcome to the Skipping Stones Design Blog Hop to celebrate the release of two new sets, Heartsong and Purse Birthday! Today the DT and Guests of SSD will be featuring cards using Heartsong. If you've just happened upon my blog today, make sure to start from the beginning at Skipping Stones Design. You should have arrived here from Becky Olsen's blog.

Combined with the blog hop today, it's also Skipping Stones Sketch Tuesday which means we're showcasing another great creation from our Guest Sketch Artist this month, Amy Sheffer. We'd love for you to play along with the sketch and link your card at the Skipping Stones Blog. A lucky winner that joins our sketch challenge will win either a free stamp set or half off any stamp set in the store!

Here's our fun sketch this week!

And here is my card:

Along with our sketch today I've combined it with some photo inspiration from Crazy 4 Challenges with this gorgeous photo.

As you can tell from the photo I was inspired by the pinks and those lovely branches really inspired me with Heartsong to create a somewhat shabby, but fairly clean card design. You can also see hints of cream and brown in the background so I loved pulling all these colors together for a fun thank you note.

There is a special sale going on right now until next Tuesday at midnight - Buy ANY 3 stamp sets and get ONE FREE! No exclusions or exceptions! This would be an excellent time to grab Purse Birthday and Heartsong plus one of your favorites and then get another favorite absolutely FREE! What a great deal!

Your next stop on the hop is to the super talented Jen del Muro!
