The rest of my weekend cards

Here are the final cards I did last weekend!

The first is another try at the Christmas Theme for November. I used the Tag Star Punch on this one as well, and did my first ever Criss-Cross card. It was a blast!

I used this card for my Mom's Birthday, but I think I might use it for my group swap Female Birthday card as well. I'm not sure I really like the sketch challenge chosen, so I'll just stick with the theme on this one. I'll have to use my Celery DSP if I do though for everyone!

And this one I'm so totally in LOVE with! I love the bright colors and just the fun factor! I saw this in my mind after seeing the Criss-Cross Tutorial and had to just do it. I have no one in mind for this card, really I think I just want to keep it! I wouldn't have enough of the die-cut blooms for my whole group in those sizes so it won't be a swap card, but it was so much fun! Someone really special will get this...maybe! I had ordered this DSP and the flowers from the Mini catalog in June and I finally dug into it. I swear I've had no time this summer! :)

My demo had an open house on the 12th and we finally got our orders from the new catty! I had to get the Pink and the Baja new In Colors, I'm so excited to play with them this weekend!

Scrapbook Pages

Alright, I have a bunch of scrapbook pages that I've never uploaded. I'm finally starting to get everything posted here and at SCS. I am so far behind on scrapping, but hopefully I can get more caught up this winter! I tend to make the same pages for each of the kids when they have the same pictures for holidays, or shared events, so here are some that I've finished in the last couple of months.

Golf Pages! These are for a Scrapbook Sketch Challenge SBSC145 on SCS. This was my first ever scrapbook sketch challenge and I think it will take time before I like what I turn out with. The ideas are so great, but I found I had a harder time incorporating everything!

These two Cheer Pages are another Scrapbook Sketch Challenge SBSC16 on SCS. This really wasn't my style, but I was happy with how everything turned out on this!

Sketch Challenges and Swap Cards!

This summer has just gone by so fast! I find I tend to do more scrapping and stamping during the winter since we aren't out that much like we are in the summer, so hopefully I'll post more here.

The stamp group I'm in is getting ready to start up again so I'm starting to get more stamping in which is good. I'm so excited for my newest stamp order and to play with the new colors. Our stamp group decided to do a card swap this year, too. I've done several others in old groups, but this is the first time for my new one. Our demo decided we should use sketch challenges from SCS to help the newbies out. So we have a theme each month along with a sketch she choose. She wanted to do fairly easy ones since only me and one other person have stamped before.

Alright, with all that said, here are the cards I've been working on! I don't know if I will use these, or try coming up with a few other ideas before I decide on my swap cards.

After I secured the twill tape and tied the ends I pulled and frayed the very ends of the tape.

This turned out really simple, but I think it works since its for a male birthday card. I guess you really can't see the 'Happy Birthday' but its along side of the cake. Too bad I didn't stamp it straight! :)

I've been wanting to try the Tag Punch Star on a card and finally tried it today. It was very simple and I love how it stands out on the card. This is one I still want to work on. I'm not entirely happy with this one. It doesn't quite match the sketch challenge, but close enough right?!

The next cards are two that I had for more birthdays. I still have to make a card for my Mom (oops, I lost track of time!) and get them in the mail!

The first card is for a friend. I hope she has received it already so this isn't too big of a surprise before she sees it!

And my Dad's birthday card! I really messed up the horizon, but I was still happy with how it turned out. I was trying to depict my Dad and us kids!
