Scrapbook Pages...Finally!

I still haven't finished a bunch of pages I started at the Scrapbook Expo last has been too busy! I don't think I have a single "free" weekend until after Thanksgiving, and even then I know there will be something that changes that!

So instead of waiting to post them all at once (since I know it will be forever before I finish those others!), here are the ones that I did manage to accomplish that weekend!

These first ones are from last summer. My husband took our daughter to her first concert! One of her favorite bands came to town and performed in a coffee house (we saw them in a bar the next night) so she got to go, meet the band, and rock out!

I wanted it to have an edgy, rocker feel, but still be good for a kids scrapbook. I used SBSC97 from Splitcoast Stampers for the first page and then rounded the double layout with the band members names.

My favorite thing about this page is the scalloped bottom and the ribbon that I frayed the edges.

CS: Black, Vellum
DSP: Rock Star - Silver Foil, Stripe Silver Foil, Guitar Silver Foil, Kiss Pink Foil
Ink: None
Stamps: None
Other: Misc ribbon, Silver brads, Corner Rounder, Hole Punch, Rhinestones, gemstones, EK Success Letters

And these next two are really plain, but I haven't scrapped them yet so as my friend Mel said, "It's better plain on a page than sitting in a box." I so agree!

My son's 2nd birthday (yes he is 5 now...) was a sports birthday so with the help of SBSC70, the 8.5 x 11 and 12 x 12 layouts became two 12 x 12 layouts with a few adjustments. Those are also actually Page Maps layouts, but either way whoever created them helped me finally get these on paper!

It took forever, but I punched holes in the paper and threaded and tied white grograin on the pages to make the strings on a football. Probably the only "non-boring" thing on these pages!

CS: Close to Cocoa
DSP: Frances Meyer (local scrapbook store find)
Stamps: None
Ink: None
Other: buttons, hole punch, white grograin

These are ones that I finished at home after starting on them at the midnight crop at the Expo. Since I had never been to a crop like that I wanted to plan out pages in advance so I knew what to take. I had never used scrapbook sketches before this year, but I really like the ease of which the pages come together and that I can still put my own style into it! These are Page Maps layouts, Dec 07 and Jan 08.

They are essentially the same layouts but with small changes (pics, elements) for each kid. But because I want to show each one here they all are! This was also the Christmas that I accidentally deleted half my pictures...seriously I had a bad habit of that but I think I finally stopped doing it!

CS: Real Red, Bashful Blue, Pretty in Pink, Certainly Celery, Whisper White
DSP: Holiday Slab V -Provo Craft
Stamps: None
Ink: None
Other: Cosmo Cricket-Buck Naked Chipboard Ornaments, Gemstones, Stapler, 2 in.-1.5 in circles, "Christmas" from Christmas Cheer Cricut cartridge, File, 2 way glue, Hodgepodge Hardware-Pewter, Celery, Red, Pink and Blue stripe grograin
